SHARE THE LOVE GRANT
USTA Florida has launched a $500,000 "Share the Love" grants initiative to help fund tennis programs and projects throughout Florida communities during these challenging economic times.

Please note:

The deadline for all 2011 Share the Love grant applications is November 15, 2011 so that we can close out all 2011 grants by the end of the year.

The Share the Love Grant program will reopen on January 15, 2012 and we will begin accepting 2012 applications at that time.

Funding priorities include:

·         QuickStart Tennis and Jr. Team Tennis (coordinator training, start-up, etc.)

·         Public facility funding (schools, parks, blended lines and conversion to QuickStart courts, etc.)

·         Community tennis awareness (innovative pro-active start-ups, program expansion),

·         School programs and senior tennis programs/projects. 

In addition, Share the Love Grant funding provides financial assistance for

·         Adaptive/Special Needs programs

·         Recreational Tennis programs

·         Wheelchair Tennis programs

·         Tennis on Campus programs

·         Tennis in the Parks agencies

·         Community Tennis Associations

USTA Diversity Grants

The lack of financial resources has been identified as a major barrier for young minority players who aspire to excellence in competitive tennis, as well as for local program organizers delivering tennis programs to multicultural audiences. The purpose of the grants is to provide funding to these organizations and individuals.

The USTA in partnership with the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) have collaborated on a three-category grant opportunity for public facilities in need of enhancement, reconstruction or construction of a new public tennis facility.

The USTA Tennis and Education Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life among our nation’s youth. The purpose of the grants is to encourage children to pursue their goals and highest dreams by succeeding in school and becoming responsible citizens.
